AI Skills and Automation Workshop
From prompting to building reusable AI Skills. The advanced day for teams who have done the practical workshop.
- Format
- One day · in-house · laptops and an AI account per participant · builds on the practical workshop
- For
- Supervisors and managers who have completed the Practical AI Workshop or equivalent prompt-engineering training
Build, not just prompt
Participants turn a recurring task from their own department into a reusable AI Skill and test it on real documents and sample data.
A framework that travels
Role, Steps, Knowledge, Format, Rules, Checks: a structure that makes AI output consistent and checkable.
The bridge to automation
The day ends with where AI Skills lead next: automated reports, follow-ups and workflows across departments.
Program overview
This hands-on workshop builds on the participants’ previous AI prompt engineering training. Participants learn how to transform recurring business tasks and processes into reusable AI Skills, helping improve productivity, consistency, and work quality.
The program combines short lectures, live demonstrations, guided exercises, and hands-on activities. No programming background is required.
Who should take this program
Supervisors and managers who have already been through the Practical AI Workshop or an equivalent prompt engineering session, and who own a recurring report, template or process they want AI to take over.
Requirements
- A laptop and access to an AI tool with skill-building capabilities (the workshop currently runs on Claude).
- Preferably a sample of a recurring work task, report, template, or process document. Sample training materials are also provided.
Program modules
- 01
From AI Prompting to AI Skills
A quick review of the RTC-FC prompt engineering framework, what AI Skills are and how they differ from regular prompts, and how to identify business tasks and processes suitable for AI.
- 02
Framework for Building AI Skills
Role: defining the AI's expertise and responsibilities. Steps: establishing the process AI should follow. Knowledge and context: providing relevant documents, information, and references. Format: defining the expected output. Rules: setting instructions, boundaries, and guidelines. Checks: ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
